Checkgratuityuae was built to answer one question clearly: how much gratuity are you owed under UAE labour law? We saw too many people relying on outdated calculators, forum posts describing rules that changed back in 2022, or generic advice that never accounted for their specific emirate, free zone, or contract history. Our site exists to fix this issue.
What We Do
We publish a free gratuity and end-of-service benefits calculator with guides covering how the calculation works, what changed under the current law and how gratuity differs for domestic workers, UAE nationals, free zone employees, and financial free zones like DIFC and ADGM. Every calculator and guide on this site is built around Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 202. This law has governed private-sector gratuity in the UAE since February 2022.
How We Keep This Accurate
Our content is researched and cross-checked against the text of the current UAE Labour Law, guidance published by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), and other official government sources such as u.ae. We review our content periodically to add legal updates, and where a source conflicts with the current law. If we found anything is outdated and changed then we fix instantly.
If you spot something on this site that looks outdated or incorrect, we want to know. You reach out us via given email and our Contact page.
We’re Independent, Not a Government Service
Checkgratuityuae is an independent, privately run informational resource. We are not MOHRE, not a part of UAE government and not affiliated with any official labour authority. Our gratuity calculator gives you an estimate based on the information you enter and the current legal formula, but it is not an official government tool. For a legally binding calculation, or for anything involving an active dispute with your employer, MOHRE and a licensed UAE labour lawyer are your official channels.
A Quick Note on Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. Our guides explain how UAE gratuity law generally works, but they can’t replace advice tailored to your specific situation. See our Disclaimer page for the full detail on this.
